This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom Kangaroo Point unit had a total of $25 000 spent on a renovation.
Following are some before and after shots and a brief explanation of where and how the money was spent.

This is the lounge room which we removed the carpet and balcony tiles from, we replaced the light fittings and plastered the ceiling with a smooth plaster set. You will notice that the tiles are a 300 x 300 reconstituted marble tile. The unit was painted with Dulux Lexicon paint which is white paint with a black tint, this paint colour when painted on walls gives the appearance that the unit is larger than what it is.
Also we removed the cuurtains to to let more light in and increase the view to the river and city.

This is the dining room which was used as an office. We removed the carpet and retiled the floor in the same tiles as the lounge room.
We re-plastered the ceiling and added a new designer light fitting. You will notice the wall behind the book case had a curtain hiding the mirror, we removed the curtain and also painted the timber window cile with dulux white.

Next to the front door we removed the built in cabinetry which made the lounge room larger, changed the light with a designer light fitting. The front door locks have been changed from mission brown to chrome.

The kitchen in the below picture was renovated about 4 years ago so it simply needed a clean and tidy, I changed all of the handles, tiled the floor with the 300 x 300 re-constituted marble tiles and added new stainless steel laminate kick boards. I used a Scotch pad to polish the stainless steel sink and tap which made them look like new. The old light fitting was replaced with a new modern contemporary fluorescent light fitting.

The laundry was re tiled using 200 x 400 white wall tiles. We removed the existing laminate bench top and replaced it with Ceaser stone
In the laundry, toilet, bathroom and ensuite were ceiling tiles (like what you would find in an office) I removed the tiles and gyprocked the ceilings then added in low voltage down lights in all of the rooms with the ceiling tiles. The laundry was retiled using the same tiles as the lounge room.

The toilet had a mirror which was covered witha bamboo shutter. I thought it would be good to keep the mirror over the toilet and retile the rest of the toilet room. I added a new toilet suite, floor designer floor waste and added new door handle sets to the toilet door and every other door in the unit.

The bathroom was very dark and drap which was easily over come by tiling the floors and walls, note the mosaic glass feature wall tiles which were also used inthe ensuite. The existing bench top was man made fiberglass top which was replaced with Ceaser stone. I added a new semi recessed basin and a new mixer. The shower screen was replaced with a semi frameless glass pivot door. New shower head and bath taps and spouts were also added. All of the old gold plated bathroom accessories like the towel railstoilet roll holders and hand towel rails were replaced with new modern chrome fittings. The bathroom vanity was reused and simply just re 2 paking the doors, draws and facia it made the old vanity look like new.

This is the ensuite which is very long and narrow. Notice the floor tiles which are the same tiles as inhte other rooms of the unit except the bedrooms.
I added a new vanity unit and tap along with all new bathroom accessories, a new toilet suite, glass mosaic wall feature tiles and white wall tiles.
The power point in the photo just above the sink had a face lift simply by purchaseing a new brushed alloy cover plates, All of thepower points and light switches in the unit also had new cover plates added to them.

This is at the other end of the ensuite where the shower is located. You cansee where i have added a new semi frameless glass shower screen, new taps and shower head along with new tiles and new floor wastes.

This is hte main bedroom, as you can see it was very dark. I removed the built in cabinet below the window and removed the window shutters which also housed an air conditioner. The old brown anodised aluminium sliding mirrored wardrobes were replaced with new modern mirrored sliding wardrobe doors. I added new carpet paint and new light fittings which brightened up the room.

This picture was taken from the main bedroom door looking into the bedroom. you can notice the built in cabinets which were removed and also the plastic shutters which covered the window and ensuite doorway.
